PROTEX 5 Protective Paper is a 4-5 mil latex saturated paper used for protection of bare aluminum, titanium, stainless steel and painted surfaces. Paper is printed in red “SCRATCHES CAUSE REJECTIONS-HANDLE WITH CARE.” The main uses for PROTEX 5 are on exterior aluminum skins in the aircraft industry, as well as electronic cabinetry, to prevent scratches during fabrication. After being applied to the surface it can be routed, drilled, countersunk and riveted. A liner allows the product to be die-cut if desired.
