THREADLOCKING ADHESIVE
Loctite 290 is a medium to high strength, wicking grade threadlocker designed for locking and sealing of pre-assembled fasteners. Often referred to as a "wick-in" or "penetrating" threadlocker, Loctite 290 is unique because it can be applied after assembly. Its low viscosity formula allows it to penetrate threads by capillary action. This makes it ideal for securing bolts, nuts, and fasteners that are already in place but may need added security against loosening, due to vibration.

Thin, low-viscosity threadlocker has the ability to flow into difficult-to-reach cracks and crevices, making it ideal for locking preassembled fasteners.
LOCTITE® 290 is a green, medium-high strength threadlocker designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. Because of its low viscosity, the product wicks between engaged threads by capillary action and eliminates the need for disassembly prior to application. This makes it ideal for sealing porosities in welds, castings and powdered metal parts. The anaerobic adhesive cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration.
